Antibes was founded by the Greeks and was once
called Antipolis. It was important trading port for
the Greeks and later the Romans.
Throughout it's history it's port has been important.
Now it boasts one of the biggest yacht marinas in
the area but still maintains it's fishing industry.
There are Modern Art, History and Archeology,
Traditional Craft and Local Culture museums well
worth visiting.
The old town has beautiful squares with some
excellent restaurants serving traditional dishes.
