Snowsports Overview:
The European glaciers have experienced fantastic snowfall recently. Between 20cm and 40cm has fallen across Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland…
Thankfully, sun is forecast across all European resorts for the majority of the week which means excellent skiing conditions.
France:
Around 20cm of fresh snowfall in Tignes (50cm) has created fantastic conditions for this time of year with a significant amount of coverage as far down as Tignes Le Lac at 2100m.
Despite the falling snow, visibility has been sufficient enough to allow great skiing up on the glacier.
Les Deux Alpes (100cm) saw 20cm of snowfall on Monday 25th October but was closed due to high winds.
The resort is expected to open this week before closing on 1st November. It will then re-open on the 27th November for the winter season.
The remainder of this week is set to be predominantly sunny, with rising temperatures throughout the week.
By the weekend it is due to become colder again when a light dusting of snow is forecast to fall.
