Only fresh local ingredients are used for traditional local French dishes. The Mediterranean Restaurants are well known for wonderful seafood dishes.

The South of France produces some of the best Figs, Plums, Peaches, Cherries, Asparagus, Aubergines, Tomatoes as well as a rich variety of herbs. Most French cuisine is prepared with olive oil and freshly chopped garlic.

Fish and oysters are used in some of the most original dishes. Lamb and Veal are also popular. There is a huge selection of different types of cheeses. Truffles are also a favourite treat!
