Only fresh local ingredients are used for traditional local French dishes. Mediterranean restaurants serve wonderful seafood dishes.

The region produces some of the best Figs, Plums, Peaches, Cherries, Asparagus, Aubergines, Tomatoes as well as a rich variety of herbs. Most cuisine is prepared with olive oil and freshly chopped garlic.

Fish and oysters are used in some of the most original dishes. Lamb and Veal are also popular. There is a wonderful selection of different types of cheeses. Truffles are also a favourite treat!

There are many fine restaurants in France offering a vast array of dishes to choose from.
