The 'South of France" wine branding, launched five years ago (2006), has proved very successful!.

The 'South of France" wine branding covering France’s biggest wine region the Languedoc Roussillon was launched for promotion of these French wines to the world. The wines from the area are labeled "South of France" or "Sud de France" in French. This is in addition to the existing names of the individual wines.

Wine: The languedoc Roussillon, in South France, is the largest vineyard in the world. The regions history of wine production began with the Romans. Since then the vineyards and wine making have become an essential part of the region and it's culture. The taste and flavour of the wine are as varied as the landscape that produces them. There are the delicious Vin de Pays and the more famous A.O.C. Wines ( A.O.C: " Appellation d'Origine Controlée", awarded to high quality wine.) Caves are plentiful where visitors are welcome to sample the fine wines.

All wines are very reasonably priced in France making them an essential addition to the wonderful cuisine. Using traditional techniques, the French create wines of immense variety. These are bottled and exported all over the world; The French produce these different standards of wines AOC, VDP, and VDP.

Bordeaux wines are well known around the world and liked for their rich, spicy flavours.
