PEZENAS Everywhere in Pezenas, you will find the memory of French comedies writter : Jean-Baptiste POQUELIN, known as MOLIERE. He was not born in Pezenas but he stayed some years there acting for the Prince de Conti. The interior of the Consular House dates right back to 1552 and the consuls of Pézenas met on this site from 1242 until the Revolution in 1789.

Many parts of the town unchanged since the 17th Century. The historic centre is a gem with narrow streets and lanes interesting architecture. An abundance of hotels and restaurants adorn this beautiful town. Along with it's markets, museum, theatre, galleries and plenty of sights and excursions.
